Overview
This qualification covers senior operating room workers who provide a range of varied assistance functions to operating theatre personnel. This qualification is suited to Australian Apprenticeship pathways.

Electives
Electives are created in accordance with the national packaging rules to best reflect the current needs of industry. Your ICM qualification coordinator can discuss the suitability of each elective to your students.

Duration of Study
Students are required to be employed in their chosen field to enhance their ‘on the job’ learning. They need to be supervised by a qualified staff member and working a minimum of 16 Hours per week to meet the qualification requirements.
Students are to have gained competency in the following units.
- HLTTH301B Provide theatre support services
- HLTTH302B Provide equipment support in an acute care environment
- HLTTH303B Identify and move to maintain a sterile field
- BSBMED201A Use basic medical terminology
Cost
The full cost of this course is $2965. This certificate is not eligible for funding as a traineeship in NSW.
