Certificate IV in Anaesthetic Technology (HLT42607)

Overview

This qualification covers workers who provide assistance to anaesthetists with the safe operation of equipment during induction, maintenance and completion of anaesthesia.  This qualification is embedded within the preferred Diploma of Paramedical Science (Anaesthesia) (the qualification endorsed by the ASAPO).

  • Provide Assistance During an Emergency

Duration of Study

Students are required to be employed in their chosen field of study to enhance their ‘on-the-job’ learning.  They need to be supervised by a qualified staff member and working a minimum of 16 hours per week.  It is anticipated students will take 12 month to complete this qualification.
