Certificate IV in Community Services Advocacy (CHC41008)

Overview

This qualification covers workers who provide information, advice and advocacy and would also be appropriate for community education and policy workers. Occupational titles may include; Community education worker, Para-legal worker, phone advice worker, Community legal officer, Information worker, Welfare rights worker, Court support worker, Tenant advice and advocacy worker. Worker in peak organisation, Tenant advice and advocacy service coordinator.

Duration of Study

Students are required to be employed in their chosen field of study to enhance their ‘on-the-job’ learning.  They need to be supervised by a qualified staff member and working a minimum of 16 hours per week.  It is anticipated students will take 12 month to complete this qualification.
